Though HFH/MJ homes are typically sponsored by local businesses, religious groups, and individuals known as Covenant Sponsors who provide the start-up capitol necessary for house construction, not every group interested in donating to Habitat is capable of sponsoring an entire home alone.  In addition to our regular builds, several houses a year are funded by special building projects such as Peace House, Women Build and Faith Build, which allow for many community groups to share in the funding of a single Habitat home.  These builds are a great way for business or faith groups to intermingle and network with each other, or to branch out into something entirely new, all while helping a low-income familiy step out of poverty housing into a decent affordable home.

These builds not only allow for several groups to share in sponsorship, they allow our local Habitat affiliate to join in nationwide and worldwide Habitat for Humanity programs, reminding us that everyone, everywhere deserves a simple, decent place to live.
