Volunteer Opportunities
BE A HABITAT VOLUNTEER
Habitat for Humanity Metro Jackson(HHF/MJ) offers volunteer opportunities for you to help with all aspects of home building. We have both construction and non-construction volunteer opportunities available to you. You do not need to be an expert in construction to help out on a work site. There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others. On-site construction work is the most popular of HFH/MJ's volunteer opportunities. We make every effort to incorporate all willing volunteers regardless of skill level. All volunteers on the construction site must be at least 16 years of age or older. We will work rain or shine!
There are several ways to put your Love in Action :

New Opportunities:
Become a Habitat for Humanity/Metro Jackson (HFH/MJ) Crew Leader!
Feel comfortable leading a group? Want to get more involved with HFH/MJ? Have construction skills you would like to teach others? Please consider becoming a crew leader!
Crew leaders teach groups of volunteers basic construction skills on site. Crew leaders train unskilled volunteers, and lead crews in tasks such as painting, siding, rough framing and various other tasks.
Potential Crew leaders meet with our construction staff to go over expectations and develop a training schedule. Crew leaders do not need to be construction professionals, but open-minded and caring individuals who want to learn and teach others. For more information please contact our volunteer coordinator Karla Anderson-Sarmiento at [ email ]
